On this last day of March, I am stoked to finally get into April. March had hits and misses...I'm so glad to move on to April! Life lately has been CRAZY!
I worked to get some errands and tasks accomplished during the first two days of spring break. #FAIL!
So I begged asked hubby to spend two days off work to do fun stuff.
Wednesday:
We continue to try Ryan at restaurants. What are we thinking?? Ryan couldn't get over the huge flag behind us, so I took our selfie. This continued for the entire brunch.
We went rug shopping...Ryan did not mind it one bit.
Thursday:
We decided to have a beach day. We hadn't dipped our toes in the Pacific for almost 2 years. So we headed west to Silver Strand beach in Oxnard.
First, a trip to Panera for lunch in Valencia.
Do you know any other toddlers who prefer iced tea?
We got to Oxnard after a VERY long drive. Ryan had a short nap. I changed him into his swim clothes while hubby set up the beach tent.
Ryan loved seeing the little boats come out of the slips and into the ocean. And everytime a seagull or pigeon came around, he was more interested in them instead of the ocean. I finally got him to wade a bit, but overall, he wasn't having it.
It really is a great beach with free parking, bathrooms, and warm sand. See you in 2 years, beach!
Friday was packed with errands, as usual, and that night, Good Friday service.
The next morning was our first official MyGym class in almost a year! This time, we signed up for 4 weeks on a Groupon. Ryan was tentative, but I'm hoping he'll come out of his shell more.
Later that day was the in-laws' Easter, which included an egg hunt.
Sunday morning was Easter service at church, followed by brunch at our home. Ryan loves to play with my dad's hat.
We had fun with SnapChat filters!
This Monday, I was trying to get a nap from Ryan, and the Starbucks drive-thru was our first stop.
SUCCESS!
