Summer Reading Recap

From June to September, I read 10 books. I can't say that is impressive when 6 out of the 10 were cheesy chick-lit, and only 4 were of substance.

2 books were from my favorite, Jen Hatmaker. Of Mess and Moxie just came out, and it was long awaited, but I didn't want to read it too fast because inevitably, that means it'll end. Make Over was book #4 in her Girlfriend's Guide to Bible Study. I enjoyed it, but love OMAM more.

Jesus Feminist was a difficult, but important read about the women in the Bible. But I feel it is a book every Christian woman should experience.

Adopted for Daily Life was a great devotional that kept me grounded as another season passed without placement. I know God's purpose for our family is the best plan to stay faithful to, and we are enjoying this time with our son.

And finally, books by Jamie Beck were fast reads that allowed me to escape the heat of the desert summer. The Royal We was long, but I was excited to learn that Lauren Graham is adapting the screenplay. The other two chick-lit books were eh.

My fall reading his begun! I'm going to start The Lucky Few and The Dressing Room. Place your recommendations below. :)
