I couldn't have picked three more different books to read in a week! An autobiography of a comedienne, a horror fiction, and a leadership book.
I liked Ali Wong's movie, "Always Be My Maybe" but her book was VERY raunchy. Caution reader.
I'm missing Disneyland. Badly. So I chose a piece of fiction, very unlike me, to stay a little connected to the fantasy. These stories were pretty chilling. I enjoy the Haunted Mansion ride, so I was curious to hear these stories. There are some parts that point directly to the ride, but not enough for my liking.
I enjoyed Simon Sinek's book and TED Talk Start with Why. This book was highly recommended. I think it lends itself more to businesses, but there are definitely pieces that relate to any profession. Honesty, integrity, and humility are universal. Sinek provides plenty of examples where these values were not followed and the consequences.
