It's been a little over 2 years since becoming a mom, and I have racked up the following knowledge!
1. He doesn't need a bath every night.
2. He does need a hug and kiss as often as possible
3. A couple extra episodes of Thomas & Friends won't hurt.
4. Don't miss the dozens of time he will look over to see if you're laughing at the same parts.
5. Sometimes extra coffee is essential.
6. Instead of getting frustrated, break out into song.
It was another long day of state testing. The weather has been so great lately, that being indoors all day was depressing me. I was so glad the wind stayed away long enough for me to take everyone for a long walk.
G: "It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High." -Psalm 92:1
L: In all circumstances, be grateful. Even with challenges, staying close to God and being thankful is a mature move. Knowing that blessing comes from the challenges makes this easier to grasp. It may be hard, but usually, the toughest times make room for the biggest blessings.
A: If I can see beyond the problem, I can be more grateful. Waiting to adopt another baby is rally trying. But knowing God's plan is bigger than my impatience gives me more than enough to be grateful.
M: God, seeing you take tragedy and turning them into triumphs makes me so excited to be in your Kingdom. My selfish, impatient ways keep me from enjoying the valleys, as much as the peaks. Help me to see beyond myself to the bigger picture, not only of your innumerable blessings, but the eternal blessing you promise.
