Today I'm linking up with Shay and friends for WUW!
What we're eating this week:
Continuing Whole 30 this week. Lots of grilled organic protein and produce. It isn't that hard, but hubby is missing bread and cheese. #thestruggleisreal

What I'm reminiscing about:
In yesterday's post about vacations, I loved looking through pictures from the last 8 years. We work hard to be good stewards of God's money, and He provides with experiences we can look back on fondly.
What I'm loving:
Popcornopolis cheddar popcorn.
#dangerous
What we've been up to:
TRYING to get the painting done and ceiling fans installed. We are so close to being done! These aren't the best shots, but the color is Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige. Lots of swatches on Pinterest.
What I'm dreading:
#gradingblows
What I'm working on:
Well, after 2 years of revisions (and a LOT of praying) I submitted my dissertation proposal to my committee. I will defend it on June 13th so that I can run my study. From there, I write up my results and discussion, and then, my dissertation goes up for official defense.
What I'm excited about:
The Netflix revival for Gilmore Girls was released over the weekend, and I'm BEYOND excited. To read my own unanswered questions from the series (and my thoughts on how Lorelai was a Proverbs 31 woman), click this blog post.
What I'm watching:
What I'm reading:
I absolutely loved this devotional - I reviewed it on the blog earlier in the week.
In addition to my devotionals, I'm starting:
What I'm listening to:
Josh Kelley "Heartache"really bad recording, but the only one I could find on YouTube. It is the hidden track on the Almost Honest album from 2005. After seeing him last month in concert, I pulled out the CD and loaded it in iTunes! Love that whole album!
What I'm wearing:
#basic
What I'm doing this weekend:
Relaxing on the patio and watching Ryan play sounds like a perfect 3-day weekend!
What I'm looking forward to next month:
Not quite this intense, but we are doing swimming lessons for Ryan!!
What else is new:
In just a few more days, I'll have my first draft of my very own 30-day devotional. This has been a recent goal of mine, but the closer I get to finishing it, the more excited I am! I know absolutely nothing about publishing but found a great tutorial on publishing on Amazon. If you have any tips for me, please leave them in the comments!!
G: "Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take." Proverbs 3:6
L: Blogging and journaling are such reflective experiences. I'm finding it puts me more in touch with my prayers and really allows me to see the blessings God has provided.
I am very guilty of planning, planning, planning. While it's fine to be as prepared as possible, it's really important to remember the Truth - He is in control of my life, and if things don't go as I planned, it is okay. God always provides a way.
A: We can learn from others. That's why I find reading different devotionals, Bible-content apps, and blogs by like-minded Christian women give me perspective and direction during the valleys and peaks of life.
M: God I rest in the knowledge that you are in control. Your grace covers my failings, and when I remember Your promises, I don't have to worry. I will rejoice in each day because You made it.
Thank you.
